It's said that there are no Japanese people who don't like to eat eels, and they even created an eel day that specializes in eating eels. More than 1,000 years ago, the Japanese discovered that eel has the effect of eliminating bitter summer. Eel itself is rich in nutrition, which is a very popular food for Japanese with a strong sense of health. Recently, CHINT Power System and eel farming have made an indissoluble bond.

Qunma energy storage project, the largest single energy storage project in Japan, is under intensive construction. The optical storage system provided by CHINT Global APAC team has just been delivered. The project is equipped with 2.2MWh, which will be used for electrical load of eel breeding plant. As a model case, the smooth progress of the project will further consolidate CHINT’s development in Japan's energy storage market.

Compared with large-scale solar power plants, the development of rooftop photovoltaic industry and distributed powerplants in Japan has an obvious upward trend in recent years due to its landarea, resource circumstances and geomorphic characteristics. At the same time, Japan also introduced incentive measures to promote the market application of energy storage system, boosting the increasing market demand.

In the future, CHINT Power System will help local customers build a zero emission farm in Qunma. This is also the first time that CHINT Power System has used energy storage modular solutions to serve customers in the Japanese market. Different from most grid connected solar energy storage projects, this project mainly operates in the off grid state. The application of photovoltaic + energy storage and self-developed EMS will fully meet the demand of weak current network application, so that the farms can solve the power demand through spontaneous self-use.

In response to global energy transformation and climate change, Japan has greatly increased the utilization rate of renewable energy in recent years. Japan's new energy market is changing with the decrease of FIT subsidies from local governments. More and more industrial and commercials in the market are equipped with self-use functional modules, which will greatly promote the application of photovoltaic + energy storage system to be more extensive and diversified.
