The RE+ exhibition was held in Anaheim, California from September 21st to the 23rd. Chint Power Systems (CPS) displayed the 275kW inverter for North America, a brand new 350kW inverter, a solar plus energy storage system solution, small scale utility PV solutions, and C&I PV solutions at booth 2804. Four series of component products including Astroenergy ASTRO N series PV modules from Chint Renewable Energy were also on display.

At the RE+ exhibition, many people were gathering in front of CPS Booth. Many solar and energy storage professionals from all over the world listened in during the introduction of the functions and advantages of Chint Power System products introduced by the CPS product managers. CPS offers North American utility projects with an integrated PV and storage system solution including UL listed 275kW inverters for North America, an AC combiner boxes, 200kW power conversion system (PCS), and a 4.17MVA 34.5kV : 800V step-up transformer.

Chint Power Systems 275kW inverter for North America

The 275kW inverters are specifically designed for North America and are used in large PV stations. The Inverters are designed and developed by CPS for the North American power grid environment and power stations. The 275kW inverter has the characteristics of high performance, high adaptability, efficient operation and maintenance, and is a key part of CPS's North American utility solution.

High Performance

A high efficiency, wide operating voltage, and temperature range enable the 275kW inverter to achieve high performance. NEMA 4X protection enable the product to adapt to a variety of application scenarios. Protection protocols support string detection, IV diagnosis, etc.

High Adaptability

The 275kW inverter is offered with a variety of MPPT input channels (18/24/36), and are compatible with different power range PV modules (166/182/210mm) .

Efficient Operation and Maintenance

The communication solution adopts Ethernet/4G/PLC and other communication methods to remotely control the inverter and allow firmware upgrades. This function provides a convenient way for customers to carry out remote operation and maintenance, and can also save system maintenance costs.

4.17MW Solar Plus Energy Storage Solution

CPS can supply North American utility projects with an integrated solar plus energy storage system solution, including the above mentioned 275kW inverter, an AC combiner box, 200kW power system converter and step-up transformer. The large sub array 4.17MW design can further reduce system investment costs compared with the traditional AC coupling solutions. Compared with traditional DC coupling solutions, the energy storage solution can be independently dispatched to improve system flexibility. With an IP65 protection level, this product may be used in various application scenarios. Up to 1500Vdc full load operation, suitable for mainstream battery solutions.

The 200kW PCS is used in the solution of the step-up transformer integrated solar plus energy storage system. It is designed and installed in a modular compartment with flexible installation. Achieving battery rack level management, effectively avoid imbalance between clusters, improving battery life, discharge capacity, and supports the addition of new batteries during system supplement periods; Improves system utilization, reduces failure loss, and does not affect the normal operation of other battery clusters; It can be quickly replaced by maintenance personnel to effectively reduce maintenance time.

Chint Power 350kW inverter for North American

Chint Power Systems new 350kW inverters for North American are suitable for large utility scale power station solutions. This new inverter is designed and developed by CPS for the North American power grid environment and power station. It will be officially launched in 2023. This inverter also has the characteristics of high performance, high adaptability, efficient operation and maintenance, and will become another key inverter offered by CPS North America for utility power solutions.


At the same time, Astronergy carefully exhibited four series of module products, ASTRO N, ASTRO 6, ASTRO 5 and ASTRO 5s. Among them, ASTRO 6 series adopts 210mm large-size silicon wafers and Astronergy PERC+ cell technology, and combines high-density encapsulation, nondestructive cutting and other technologies, with the module efficiency up to 21.6%, making itself a high-power optimal product for utility-scale power stations. The newly released ASTRO N series adopts n-type TOPCon cell and features high-density encapsulation, non-destructive cutting and other technologies to achieve the core strengths of high power, high efficiency, high reliability, great appearance and high power generation per watt.The module efficiency of ASTRO N Series is up to 22.5%+.
